He is 4th all time in terms of receptions with 1,101 and is 4th all time in terms of touchdown catches with 130, and is also 8th all time in receiving yards with 13,899. He played in the 1990's when there were very few pass-happy offenses like there are today and had he played in the present era his stats would undoubtedly be better. Even so at the time of his retirement he ranked 2nd all time in both catches and td catches and was 4th all time in receiving yards. He was an incredible player who was a complete receiver. He had great hands, ran crisp routes, and could beat a DB deep. He lead the league in touchdown catches 3 times and caught 122 passes two years in a row. He had 8 straight seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving and had 6 seasons where he caught at least 10 td passes including a season where he caught 17. To go along with his great stats he was one of the most reliable receivers in NFL history. He caught everything thrown his way and was always making plays on the football field. He is an accomplished player who belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I hope that he is inducted in 2012 because he is one of the top 5 receivers in NFL history (in my opinion) and hopefully the hall of fame voters finally come to their senses and vote him in.

Whats wrong with Desean Jackson

I know it's been a while since I've last posted but today I wanted to talk about one of my favorite players in the nfl right now, Desean Jackson and try to dissect what is bringing his game down this year. When you look at his stats he has over 500 yards receiving in 9 games but has only had 3 games where he has really been a factor. He also missed a team meeting on last week so he couldn't play in the game against Arizona. One reason that he might not be playing up to the standards that some people hold him to is because of his contract. He is way underpaid compared to many other receivers today and definitely deserves a better contract. However I think that he is asking for too much, especially when you consider that he has been almost non-existent in many games this season. He is unhappy with his contract and feels underappreciated so maybe this is why he isn't playing up to his potential. However this isn't the only reason that could explain why he is having a down year. Another reason is that he has become somewhat predicatable on offense and isn't getting open. He doesn't really run inside routes unless it's a deep post and his route running selection is limited. Teams now have a corner jam him at the line with safety help over the top and this has effectively stopped him from getting open. To perform better the Eagles need to find more ways to get him open and Desean Jackson needs to work on his route running and ability to lose defenders if he wants to have another Pro Bowl season. Whatever the reason for Desean Jackson's decline in production this year I hope that he can get back to being the great receiver that he can be.

Jump Manual Success

Hey guys sorry that I haven't been posting my progress with the jump manual but I am here to tell you now that the jump manual works!!!!!! My old vertical was about 22 inches and after 15 weeks with the jump manual my vertical was 25-25.5 inches!!!! This is only a 3-3.5 inch increase but I plan on using the jump manual once a year so I can keep increasing my vertical which will help increase my athletic ability. Once again the jump manual works, it has helped me so much with my jumping and I can actually fell myself getting higher in my jumps. Also the jump manual has helped to increase my explosive power which has helped me in track since I do the long jump and the triple jump. All in all if you want to increase your jumping ability and explosive power than buy the jump manual today.

Jeremy Wariner

I'm sure that most of you 400m dash fans are asking the same question that I am, "Is Jeremy Wariner Finished?". Jeremy Wariner won the 400m dash in the 2004 olympics and won another gold in the 4x400 relay. Also at the 2007 world championships he ran a 43.45 second 400, the 4th fastest 400 of all time and it looked like he would win another gold in the 400 at the 2008 olympics. However at a meet before the U.S. trials Jeremy was beaten by Lashawn Merritt and he was beaten by the same guy at the trials. Wariner's time at the trials was 44.12 seconds and I expected him to beat Merritt at the olympics. But when the olympics rolled around Wariner got 2nd by over 10 meters and his time was very sub-par. He once again lost at the 2009 world championships to Lashawn Merritt but this year (2010) Merritt was suspended for taking a drug that was on the banned substance list. With Merritt out of the way it looked like Wariner would dominate again but at the trials Jeremy didn't even finish the 400, pulling up lame after 80 meters. Now onto the question "Is Jeremy Wariner Finished?". The answer is no Wariner can and will bounce back because he definitely has the ability to. The thing that he needs to improve is his mental toughness which is the thing that I believe has been the main reason for Jeremy Wariner's recent defeats. Jeremy Wariner will bounce back and have a good chance to once again dominate the 400 meter dash.

Fast Food Effect

Hey guys I know I normally talk about sports but I'm going to talk about fast food today. Fast food has become a function of our lives now and 40% of our meals are from going out to eat instead of eating at home. Fast food is delicious but it's even better if you eat it rarely. Fast food makes you fat!!!!!!! I like fast food bud I only eat once a week if even that and I'm going to keep it that way. Onto some evil fast food companies like Mcdonalds. Workers at fast food restaurants get a grade for their work and if they get a good grade they get paid more. But Mcdonalds doesn't want to pay their workers more than minimum wage so they purposely give lower grades no matter how hard you work so they don't have to pay more. But I digress. Now that I have shown you some facts about fast food and namely Mcdonalds I hope you are more informed. Desean Jackson has 8 receiving touchdowns and over 1,000 receiving yards on just 56 catches. This means that he averages 19.4 yards per catch. Jackson is also one of the best return men in the league which make him even more dangerous. Now onto Chris Johnson who is only 270 yards away from 2,000 rushing yards on the season and with 2 games left in the year I think he can definitely get it. Also he has over 2,000 yards of total offense. Chris Johnson is one of the top 1 or 2 running backs in the league and what sets him apart from other backs is that he is a dangerous receiver and one of the best receiving backs in the league. These 2 players both have at least 6 plays of over 50 yards which firmly establishes them as the 2 most explosive players in the league. Jay Cutler has sucked this year and their is a lot of shame in my house since my dad is a HUGE Bears fan. Cutler had a passer rating of 7.9 in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He threw 2 interceptions in the red zone and in a pitiful performance threw for 94 yards, 0 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Jay Cutler has not helped the Bears this year and before the regular season started I thought that he would be the missing link that the Bears needed. But the defense took a huge blow when Brian Ulacher hurt his wrist and was told he would be out for the season. Devin Hester who could usually bail his team out of some situations has been horrible this year on returns and Jay Culter has shown that he cannot throw accurate passes. Granted some of the blame can be put on the offensive line who has allowed so many sacks, way more than Cutler had had in any year at Denver. I give Cutler one more year to get used to the offense but this year has gone down the drain and Bears fan can only hope for thre best.

NFL Playoff Race

The NFL playoff race is really mixed at this point. Their are 6 7-7 teams in the AFC and the Saints with a chance to clinch first place in the NFC lost to the Dallas Cowboys 24-17. The Vikings had another chance to only be a game behind the Saints and got crushed by the Carolina Panters 26-7. Now you have to remember that the Panthers, up to that point were 5-8 and they managed to crush the Vikings. Julius Peppers got constant pressure on Brett Favre and Brad Childress and Favre got into an argument on the sideline. Childress said it was a "Good discussion", really? Well, enough of my thoughts on that. In the AFC the Titans started off the year 0-6 even though Chris Johnson was running wild. As soon as Vince Young got in though he led the team to a 7-1 record and they are now in a playoff hunt with a chance to get a wild card spot. The Chargers have come back and are now in great condition to get to the playoffs and the Colts well their undefeated and I think will remain undefeated throughout the rest of the regular season. I don't know if they can win the Super Bowl but I think that the Super Bowl will come down to who is more prepared than who plays with more emotion. Well that's it for my thoughts about the NFL playoff race and how any team can win the Super Bowl.

Track and Field 2009 World Championships

In the track and field world championships I'm going to give you my opinion on how thingss will work out. In the mens 100m dash Usain Bolt will win because he is so dominant and he looks so relaxed when he runs. Asafa Powell will not factor because he doesn't perform well in big sitautions. In the womens 100m dash Kerron Stewart will win because she has been unstoppable this year. In the mens 200m dash Usain Bolt will win because he ran 19.59 in puring rain and into a headwind. In the womens 200m dash Allyson Felix can win if she doesn't stand up right at the start of the race. In the 400m dash men I think Jeremy Wariner probably will win since he is back with Clyde Hart and the fact that there is no pressure on him since he's the underdog. In the 400m dash women Sanya Richards has been dominant and she will continue to dominate at the World Championships. I dont think theamericans will win in the middle distance events unless Bernard Lagat runs a great race. In the long distance for the men Bekele will win and Darfer for the women both world record holders at the 5000m. Those are my opinions for this years track and field 2009 championships.

NBA MVP 2009

The race for MVP in the NBA is heating up. The top 3 candidates for me are LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Paul. LeBron James is very important to his team and has proven that he can carry the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers lead the league in the win percentage and since they play so well at home if they lead the league in wins they will have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs and that could very well win the NBA Final because of this.
As for Dwayne Wade his team the Heat will probably not make the Finals because of the Heats lack of supporting talent. Without Dwayne Wade though the Heat wouldn't even be in the playoffs. Dwayne leads the league in scoring and has the ability to put his team on his shoulders and lead them to victory like against the Bulls when he stole the ball and made a running 3 to win the game and that was a MVP like game.
Chris Paul has great stats and is as important to his team as Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James. Chris Paul leads the league in assists with 11.0 and averages 22.8 points per game which could win someone the MVP alone. Chris has leadrship skills and he has revolutionized the point guard poisition almost as much as Magic Johnson. Chris has the most amazing stats that I have ever seen and is important to his team which is why he could win MVP.
Please leave comments about who should win MVP out of these 3.

Jay Cutler's Trade

There’s a huge trade going the right way for the Chicago Bears. Now I’ve know you all know about the trade involving Jay Cutler and Kyle Orton. Now, what does this do for the Bears and Broncos? Well for the Bears they get a prolific passer which is something they’ve been looking for many years. Jay Cutler passed for over 4500 yards and had 25 passing touchdowns which is more than any Bear quarterback has ever passed for in the long history of the Bears. This trade is great for Jay as well because he will have something he didn’t have with the Broncos which is a great running game. With the running game that the Bears have paired with Jay Cutlers incredible passing skills teams will be on their toes knowing that the Bears have a great running game and a awesome passing game which is something the Bears have not had, I think in their history.

The only problems I can see with Jay Cutler going to Chicago is that in college Ron Turner supposedly gave a scholarship to Jay Cutler and at the last second took the scholarship away at the last second. Jay Cutler said that Ron lied to the media by saying that he never offered a scholarship to Jay. There still could be some bad blood between those two. As for Denver I don’t know what they were thinking in trading away there franchise player! They get two first round draft picks but Jay Cutler is worth more than that. Also if the Broncos didn’t replace the entire staff they would still have one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

Bottom line is that Jay Cutler will bring the Bears to many wins and possibly make the most feared team in the league with a potent offense and solid defense.
